In Worcester State’s Executive Certificate in Leadership program, you will develop leadership skills such as fostering collaboration, effective communication, and conflict resolution and learn how to present, persuade, influence, discuss, and negotiate. You will gain an understanding of the interrelationship between various business functions and the interaction between the business organization and external cultural, social, economics and global issues. You will also develop your creative and critical thinking skills and the interpersonal skills necessary for leadership positions in organizations, and you will learn to analyze and understand the ethical implications of business decisions.
In addition, the credits you earn in this program can be applied to the Master of Science in Management at Worcester State.
Prerequisites for the executive certificate in Leadership

Complete a Principles of Management or Organizational Behavior undergraduate course.

Have three or more years of experience in a leadership-related job role. Application decision will be made by the graduate coordinator in consultation with a department graduate advisory board based on a letter of recommendation and the role description.
