Enhance your major with practical skills.
The Actuarial Mathematics Minor gives you an edge in a career in finance or insurance. Study statistics, mathematical modeling, and data analysis and learn how to calculate probability and risk. The minor gives you skills that are also useful in many of the social sciences. An understanding of mathematics provides a powerful approach to solving problems through organization, simplification, and abstraction. With this minor, you will develop analytical and problem-solving skills that employers look for in today’s job market.
