The Purpose of This Component

For example, this component is currently being used on the Chemistry department page to display news stories relevant to the Chemistry department and the program itself.

How to Use This Component
This component is dynamic, meaning the news will feed in automatically from the news.worcester.edu website based on the category selection.
When a content manager selects a Featured News component from the component dropdown list, they will see four tabs within the component’s settings. The first tab reads Component, and this is where content managers will name their components internally on the backend. This setting is for organizational purposes, and this information will never be public to users on the front end.
The tab to the right of the Component tab is the General tab, where the content manager will assign the Heading that will accompany the featured news stories. The field below is where they will specify which News Category they’d like to select to be the source of their posts. For example, selecting the category “Civic Engagement” will display the news stories that have been added to the civic engagement category within the news site. This is also where content managers will select the max number of posts they’d like to appear within this component. In the example below, 3 has been identified as the max number of posts, but content managers can add up to 8 news stories to this component.
