Worcester State University proudly hosts over 120 international graduate students and scholars from 25 countries who study, teach, or conduct research here each year. Our International Programs Office (IPO) offers expert guidance on F-1 and J-1 visa-related immigration and employment issues, supporting your academic, professional, and personal development.
Our office works closely with the larger university community to enrich WSU’s international character. We strive to foster connections between international graduate students and the WSU community, sharing your unique values and stories with fellow Lancers and the City of Worcester.

International Graduate Programs
Graduate Admissions Requirements
While the International Programs Office will follow up with accepted students regarding the I-20 process, in addition to the academic program requirements and the Worcester State University Graduate School’s general admission process, international applicants must submit the following:
- An online application and $50 USD application fee
- GRE, MAT, MTEL, or GMAT score report, depending on the program
- Official college or university transcript(s) for each institution attended
- Official evaluation of previously earned foreign degrees by a professional evaluation service such as: The Center for Educational Documentation, World Education Services, or Josef & Silny & Associates, Inc.
- English translation of transcripts if yours are not in English
- Official course-by-course evaluation of ALL college/university transcript(s)
- TOEFL (79+), Duolingo (100+), Pearson PTE (59+), iTEP (4.0+) or IELTS (6.5+) score report if education was in a language other than English
- Waiver of Confidential Information Form (optional)
Note – If you are seeking an I-20 / student visa, you will need to ensure that ALL graduate application documents (including official course-by-course transcript evaluations), are received in the Graduate Office by the dates listed below:
- Fall: June 15
- Spring: November 1
