Biography

Dr. Melnick is a Board Certified Specialist in Stuttering, Cluttering, and Fluency (BCS-SCF). He teaches several undergraduate and graduate courses, including anatomy and physiology of speech and hearing and neuroscience for communication sciences and disorders at the undergraduate level, and fluency disorders and counseling at the graduate one.  He also supervises graduate students in the Worcester State University Speech-Language-Hearing Center.  Research interests include fluency disorders and counseling.  Dr. Melnick has been a leader of the Worcester Chapter of the National Stuttering Association for over 20 years.  Interests outside of the University include playing the clarinet for which he plays locally in several small ensembles.
