BIO
Dr. Vallejos is a family medicine physician trained in Nicaragua. He had the privilege of managing a small community health center and organized vaccination campaigns, nutritional programs, chronic disease prevention strategies, and infectious disease treatment. Dr. Vallejos has worked with international non-governmental organizations like UNICEF, USAID, CARE, and CARITAS International to implement global health strategies. Dr. Vallejos has also worked designing, implementing, and evaluating health policies and programs in Massachusetts and enjoys a good policy debate. Following a passion for educating the next generation of public health professionals, Dr. Vallejos is pursuing a Ph.D. in Research and Evaluation in Education to improve public health pedagogy and meet the needs of a diverse workforce & student body. In his free time, Dr. Vallejos enjoys photography and travel.
