Jaime Marino is a clinical instructor in the Worcester State University Speech-Language-Hearing Center. She is an ASHA-certified and Massachusetts-licensed speech and language pathologist with over a decade of experience evaluating and treating individuals across the lifespan who present with a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Jaime’s clinical interests center on adult neurogenic communication disorders, particularly stroke-induced aphasia, as well as clinical supervision. She leads the WSU SLHC aphasia treatment groups and facilitates Aphasia Game day and Aphasia Book Club. Her clinical philosophy emphasizes empowering people to become effective communicators in all aspects of their lives, ultimately enhancing overall quality of life.

Jaime has worked in diverse settings, including private practice, outpatient rehabilitation, inpatient hospitals, and public schools. She has received the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA three times, and was a nominee for the WSU Adjunct Excellence in Teaching Award. She is specially trained in Supporting Communication for Aphasia (SCAâ„¢) techniques. In addition to her role as a clinical instructor, she teaches CD 990 Speech Language Hearing Practicum: Clinic and CD 901 Introduction to Graduate and Clinical Skills at WSU.  

Outside of work, Jaime enjoys being outside, traveling, reading, cooking, and being with her husband and her cats.
