Worcester State University offers a 24 credit Addictions Counseling Certificate that allows you to earn a formal credential in a growing field. This certificate focuses on the basic competencies associated with helping people in recovery from substance abuse disorders and provides students with content knowledge in addictions counseling that map to core competencies outlined by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS). Worcester State University has been recognized by the BSAS as an approved Addictions Education Provider.

Our Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental, and Pre-Veterinary certificates can provide you with training in the basic science curriculum, which you’ll need to continue your academic studies at a medical, dental, or veterinary school.
Please note that the Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental, and Pre-Veterinary Program requires a bachelor’s degree. You also can use this program to repeat the basic science curriculum and upgrade your GPA for graduate school applications.
