Get—& stay—fit at Worcester State University’s state-of-the-art Wellness Center.
The Wellness Center offers the latest in exercise and weight-lifting equipment, a wide variety of group exercise classes, an indoor elevated track, eight intercollegiate locker rooms, two public day locker rooms, and more. Amenities include multipurpose and competition gyms, batting cages, and a golf simulator. The center also houses two academic classrooms for classes, student-athlete study halls, and Chandler’s Court, the center’s smoothie bar and lounge.
The DeFeudis Fitness Center
The Wellness Center houses the 2-level, 9,000-square-foot DeFeudis Fitness Center that features top of the line cardio equipment and free weights.
Membership

If you are a Worcester State University undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in at least one credit, you have access the Wellness Center and the majority of its recreational and programmatic activities. Your OneCard student ID will serve as your membership card.

If you are a Worcester State employee, you can access the Wellness Center and its recreational and programmatic areas as a benefit of employment with the exception of the DeFeudis Fitness Center and group exercise classes, which require separate annual fees. Your OneCard employee ID will serve as your membership card.

If you are an alumnus or alumna, you can join the DeFeudis Fitness Center. A summer membership costs just $30. Year-long memberships, which start on September 1, cost $200.
An alumni membership card is required to purchase a membership to the fitness center. After completing the online alumni card order form, you can pick up the card or it will be mailed to you the following business day.

Rates & Refunds
Rates vary depending on the type of membership status. Semester and Academic Year membership rates will be prorated during time of sale.
Membership refunds are available within 10 business days of purchase with written request. The Wellness Center administration has the full right of refusal.

Parking
Members are subject to parking policies and enforcement. Worcester State University strictly enforces parking policies and assumes no responsibility for damage to any vehicle or its contents. Report all motor vehicle accidents on campus to University Police 508-929-8911 or at Wasylean Hall, Office 102. On-campus parking is encouraged between 6am and 8am, and after 4pm during the fall/spring semesters. Open parking on the weekends. Members are responsible for any parking citations.
Restrictions
Memberships are for the use of the individual whom has purchased one. The sharing of membership(s)/membership cards and privileges is prohibited. Failure to comply will result in revocation of membership without a refund.

Wellness Center Amenities
The center has 3 exercise rooms for group fitness classes and student organizational programming. We run up to 5 classes per day on weekdays and less frequently on the weekends. The center’s gymnasiums primarily serve the needs of our student-athletes competing on our NCAA Division III sports teams or intramural teams. They may be available to students, employee members, and students’ guests during open recreation times.

Worcester State’s Wellness Center Richard M. Korzec Golf Simulator combines pinpoint-accurate swing analysis in a highly realistic, three-dimensional visual golf environment. The software allows users to play replications of some of the world’s most famous golf courses. Up to four players at a time can play world-class courses, including St. Andrew’s, Pebble Beach, and TPC Network courses, using their own clubs.

Dedicated walkers and joggers can enjoy the center’s elevated track, which overlooks the competition gym. This is a great option if you are looking to avoid the heat of summer, cold of winter, and inclement weather any time of year. It provides a quality alternative to walking or jogging along busy city streets or on back roads without sidewalks.
