Worcester State’s 150th anniversary is a time to celebrate past achievements and continued commitment to academic excellence and student success. The 150th Celebration Carnival will kick off two years of commemoratory events for the entire Worcester State community to enjoy. Join us for rides, food, novelties, music, celebrations, and more!
Carnival Details
The carnival will be held over two days in the North Parking Lot and is free to attend on both days.
Friday, September 27
12pm-5pm
Open to all WSU students, staff, faculty, and administrators. You must have a WSU ID to enter; no non-WSU guests are allowed.
Saturday, September 28
11:30pm-4:30pm
Open to all WSU students, staff, faculty, administrators, alumni, and registered guests. Registration is through either Family Day, Homecoming, or Multicultural Experience. Registration will also be available on-site. All attendees, regardless of status, must be registered to attend on Saturday.
Event Bag Policy
Unless they are clear, no backpacks or oversized bags will be allowed in the carnival area.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Current students, staff, faculty, and adminstrators do not need to register to attend on Friday.
Anyone wishing to attend on Saturday with non-WSU guests must register, either in advance of the event or on-site. - All ages are invited to join us on Saturday! Within the carnival are a variety of rides and games. The Family Fun Fair will be on the Binienda Green and features novelties, a bounce house, a petting zoo. Inside the Student Center you will find quiet crafts and activities.
Rider requirements are as follows:
Expo Wheel - 48" or taller
Super Slide - 24" or taller (24"-42" must be accompanied by an adult
Swinger - 42" or taller
Tornado - 38" or taller (38"-48" must be accompanied by an adult)
Zero Gravity - 48" or taller - Within the carnival are two free food stalls with cotton candy and fried dough as well as an ice cream cart that offers free treats to all attendees. Outside of the carnival at the Family Fun Fair on the Binienda Green there will be food trucks with menu items available for purchase as well as a cash bar. Food trucks include Thee Taco Dude, Trolley Dogs, and Jerry's Ice Cream.
- Parking is available in all open surface lots and the parking garage. Signage will be available to direct you to open parking locations. Please enter campus using the South Entrance. Those attendees visiting campus on September 28, please confirm parking details in your registration email.
- The carnival and all associated activities are free for registered guests, including games, fried dough and cotton candy, and all activities in the Family Fun Fair. You will need to pay for any food purchased at the participating food trucks.
