Join, lead, learn, & grow.
A well-rounded college experience offers you the chance to get involved, spread your wings, and gain leadership skills that will help you succeed in the workplace—and the world. You will have your pick of exciting opportunities through the Student Involvement and Leadership Development (OSILD) Office.
At the heart of student involvement at Worcester State University is the centrally located Student Center, where students gravitate to relax, socialize, study, work, attend meetings and events, and grab a bite to eat. The Student Center is home to a wide range of student services as well as the Information Desk, print center, bookstore, student organizations, the Living Room lounge, and administrative offices, including the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership Development.
Key aspects of Student Involvement and Leadership Development at Worcester State include:
- Student organizations: Whatever your interests—sports, the arts, media, community service, student government—you will find your fit within our 40+ clubs and organizations active on campus.
- Leadership programs: Hone your leadership skills with our comprehensive training programs offered throughout the year for both emerging and experienced student leaders.
- Commuter Services: Enjoy a home away from home on campus in the Living Room lounge, a place to connect with other students, hang out between classes, and get immersed in campus life.
- Orientation programs: Meet friends and faculty, get to know your way around campus, learn about academic programs and services, and have fun with other newcomers to Worcester State.
Our goal is to provide programs and hands-on opportunities that will help you get the most out of your college experience. Through participation in leadership training, clubs and organizations, and part-time jobs, you will gain valuable life lessons and leadership skills—and the confidence to change the way the world works.
