Sexual Health: STI testing and Treatment
Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is available at Health Services. These tests are billed to your Health Insurance. We recommend calling you insurance provider prior to your appointment to inquire on costs for screening for STI tests.
As of July 1, 2018, patients in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts now have additional privacy protections available to keep private healthcare information from being shared this is part of the PATCH (Protecting Access to Confidential Healthcare) Act. If you are on another person’s health insurance (like a parent or spouse), you can now submit a request to keep information about your health care services confidential. This new law changes how the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statement, which is generated after a health visit and sent to the insurance subscriber and unintentionally compromises patient confidentiality. Please contact your Health Insurance provider to submit this request.
