- The Counseling Center provides services to fully matriculated undergraduate and graduate students.
- No. The Counseling Center services are covered by student fees.
- Counseling is appropriate for anyone who is troubled by a specific problem or has a general concern. Students seek counseling for personal growth, increased self-awareness, self-esteem, anxieties, depression, family and interpersonal issues, as well as for acute problems or crises.
- Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
- Yes. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
- The information shared in a counseling session is confidential and will not be disclosed to any persons or organization outside the Counseling Center without written consent, unless it is to protect you or someone else from imminent harm, or in cases of child or elder abuse, or if ordered by a court.

During normal business hours (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm), come to the Counseling Center immediately or contact us via telephone (508-929-8072). If you need immediate medical assistance contact University Police at 508-929-8911.
After hours and during holidays:
- Resident students: contact Residence Life staff (RA, RD, etc.) or University Police (508-929-8911) and ask to speak to a counselor on call.
- Commuter students: contact University Police (508-929-8911) and ask to speak to a counselor on call.
If you need medical assistance, call University Police immediately or off-campus dial 911 for local emergency assistance.
- Come to Counseling Center triage (Monday to Friday, 10am-12pm and 2-4pm) or call the receptionist (508-929-8072) to set up a consultation with a counselor. If you think your friend is in crisis, follow our crisis protocols outlined in prior question/answer.
- No, the Academic Success Center and/or your academic advisor, provide these services. Counselors do aid students in coping with academic stress and referring students to the areas on campus that may help contribute to greater academic success.
