In celebration of our graduating seniors, we reached out to graduating members of our leadership programs and student organizations and asked What advice would you give to your freshman-year self?

As we get ready to welcome the Class of 2028 in a few short months, we look back on last year’s Orientation program and ask some of our Orientation Leaders to reflect on their experience.

At the culmination of each semester’s Emerge Leadership Circle, students share their personal leadership philosophies. These philosophies are the culmination of a semester’s learning and reflection, and each is as unique as the participants themselves.

The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership Development (OSILD) hosted its fifth annual campus Leadership Symposium. This multi-day leadership experience featured a variety of workshops and concluded with keynote speaker Amma Marfo.

Kyram Pou, from Worcester, is a junior majoring in Communication with a concentration in Digital Media Production. Kyram is the Treasurer of the Student Government Association, President of the new Photography Club, a supervisor for Conference and Events Services, and an Orientation Leader. Tien Nguyen, from Vietnam, is a senior majoring in Business Administration. Tien is the President of the Asian Cultural “Boba” Club, a Resident Assistant in Chandler Village, and a student employee in the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership Development. She was also a member of the Student Entrepreneurship Program from 2020-2021.
