Cost of Attendance

The Financial Aid Office at Worcester State University uses standardized student expense budgets when calculating need. Budgets are reviewed and updated annually, and include tuition, fees, books, room and board, transportation, and personal expenses. Worcester State may adjust a student’s budget for unusual individual circumstances.

The following table shows the student expense budgets used by Worcester State for a full-time student during the 2025-2026 academic year. Tuition and fees are subject to approval and change by the Massachusetts Legislature, and/or the Worcester State Board of Trustees.

*Out-of-state students who qualify for the New England Regional Student Program are charged 150% of in-state tuition.

** Books/Supplies costs may vary depending on a student’s program of study and can include: rental or purchase of equipment, materials, or supplies has moved out of the definition of “tuition and fees” and into a broader definition of “books, course materials, supplies and equipment.” Adjustments can be made based on a student’s specific program costs.
