Worcester State University is nationally recognized for the high quality of its undergraduate and graduate degree offerings—and the dedicated faculty who teach them.
Academic programs at Worcester State span the traditional liberal arts and sciences as well as teacher education, biomedical sciences, business, and the health professions. The University’s 22 academic departments are organized within two schools and a third academic area.
School of Science, Technology, & Health
The School of Science, Technology, and Health is home to outstanding undergraduate and graduate programs in nursing, the sciences, technology, and teacher education, which has a long history of excellence at Worcester State. Students have many opportunities for internships, fieldwork and research, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and academic resources. Supportive and accomplished faculty help students become skilled problem-solvers, innovators, and leaders committed to changing the way the world works.
School of Humanities & Social Sciences
Undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences develop the knowledge, communication skills, and creativity required for success in a wide range of careers, from business to the arts, civic service to law. Taught by exceptional faculty in small classes, students make use of strong collaborative partnerships and real-world connections to gain experience and confidence. They graduate ready to make an impact in their fields and the world.
