The Center for Interdisciplinary Health Studies and Practice identifies expertise and resources available at Worcester State University that can be used to address health-related issues in Worcester and beyond. The primary focus of the center is public health systems, workforce development, and community partnerships on- and off-campus. Their research and teaching responds to current local, national, and international health needs.
The center helps enhance student learning and success in the health and health-related professions through interdisciplinary collaboration, initiatives, and community outreach related to health policy and wellness. It also connects students with internship, practica, clinical, and job placement opportunities.
