Worcester State ValuePlus builds on our commitment to provide high quality higher education to all students. Beginning in the Fall of 2025, students who qualify for Worcester State ValuePlus can attend Worcester State for $0 in tuition and fees. To qualify, students must be Massachusetts residents and Pell eligible (adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less). Those who qualify will have all tuition, fees, and books covered by a combination of federal, state, and institutional aid.

If you are a Massachusetts resident, and are Pell eligible with a family adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less, then you qualify. Your tuition and fees will be 100% covered by financial aid. If you commute, you can attend Worcester State for free.

ValuePlus covers 100% of tuition and fees for eligible students. Worcester State offers other sources of financial aid and scholarships to potentially help with housing costs for students who wish to live on campus.

Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We will use the information on your FAFSA to determine your eligibility for a Pell Grant, and if so, how much you’re eligible to receive. Students must meet all admissions applications deadlines and complete the FAFSA and meet all requirements by June 1.

If you meet the criteria (Massachusetts resident and Pell eligible) you may qualify. To learn more, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for fall 2025 at fafsa.gov . Awards will be applied to tuition and fees for academic year 2025-2026 and cannot be applied to current balances.

You must be enrolled in an academic program and working toward bachelor’s degree completion and attending at least half-time (6 or more credits).

Yes. If a student transfers to Worcester State and meets other eligibility criteria, they can be considered for additional financial aid consideration with ValuePlus.

All enrolled, degree-seeking students are encouraged to apply for scholarships. Worcester State University’s online scholarship application system automatically matches you with all of the available scholarships for which you are qualified based on your application and information in the university’s student information system. The annual application period begins on Feb. 1, 2025, and awards are made for the following academic year.
