The Mental Health Services Minor gives you the opportunity to delve deeply into the area of mental health services. You will start with a focus on abnormal psychology and learn about risk and resiliency factors that impact individual mental health and well-being. You will learn practical field skills such as psychological diagnostic assessment and treatment strategies for a variety of mental health difficulties. To prepare you to be an effective practitioner, the minor includes classes in understanding individual personality features and the mental health impact of abuse. You may also get hands-on experience through an internship with a sponsoring community organization, institution, or business.
