Dowden Hall is a newly renovated traditional-style residence hall with accommodations for approximately 400 resident students. Each wing has a long corridor with bedrooms on both sides and a common bathroom for each wing. Bedrooms are single-sex by wing; most floors have one female and one male wing. While the majority of bedrooms are designed for two persons, there are also a very limited number of single and triple occupancy bedrooms available. A laundry room is located on the first floor, along with a game room, lounge area containing a kitchen and a television with premium cable channels. Dowden Hall is also home to our resident student fitness center and Outtakes, where students can purchase coffee, salads, sandwiches, and snacks.Bathrooms are communal and cleaned regularly by maintenance staff. Dowden Hall has a full-time live in professional Residence Director and 13 student Resident Assistants. There is an RA that lives on each wing of each floor.
Chandler Village is an apartment-style complex with accommodations for approximately 420 resident students. Apartments may house 4, 8, 10 or 11 persons; each apartment is equipped with a kitchen and common area. Bedrooms within each apartment may be designed for 1, 2, or 3 persons. Transfer students assigned to Chandler Village live in specially designated larger (9 and 11 person) apartments. A laundry room is centrally located within this complex. Resident’s are responsible for cleaning their own bathrooms and apartments. Chandler Village has a full-time live in professional Residence Director and 12 student Resident Assistants. The RAs live in the 11 person apartments.
Wasylean Hall constructed for Fall 2004, contains suite-style living areas that accommodate 348 resident students. There are a number of limited spaces for new/transfer students. Suites are designated for 2, 4, or 6 persons; each suite is equipped with a kitchen and common area. Two Resident Assistants live on each floor and laundry facilities are located on the first floor. The Office of Residence Life and University Police maintain offices on the first floor. Mailboxes for all resident students are centrally located in the lobby. Wasylean Hall is also home to Java Junction, where students can purchase coffee, salads, sandwiches, and snacks. Wasylean hall has a full-time live in professional Residence Director and 10 student Resident Assistants.
