An International Applicant is anyone who is not a U.S. citizen, is not a U.S. Permanent Resident, and has or is requesting a non-immigrant visa or status. Priority review will be given to international applicants who submit all required documentation prior to March 1st for the Fall semester (September start). In general, international applicants are only eligible to apply for the Fall semester. However, applicants may select the Spring semester (January start) as their entrance period if they are:
1) Currently enrolled in an ESL program in the U.S.*
2) Currently attending another college or university in the U.S.*
3) Currently have a J1, H1B, or H4 visa
4) Accepted for a previous semester but deferred acceptance due to being refused a visa
*International students who have attended another college or university in the U.S. must forward a copy of their F-1 visa and current I-20 with their application.
The following items are required of all international FRESHMEN (FIRST-YEAR) applicants:
· Application for Admission (Paper or Online)
· $40.00 (USD) Application Fee—Check or Money Order made payable to Worcester State University
· Official High School Transcript or National Exam Scores
· Notarized translation is needed if your transcripts/documents are not in English
· Official Evaluation of High School Transcript
· TOEFL Score Report if education was in a language other than English (WSU Code: 3524)
· SAT Score Report (WSU Code: 3524)
· Worcester State University Certification of Finances Form (Parts I-IV) and accompanying documentation
· Waiver of Confidential Information (optional)
The following items are required of all international TRANSFER applicants:
· Application for Admission (Paper or Online)
· $40.00 (USD) Application Fee—Check or Money Order made payable to Worcester State University
· Official High School Transcript or National Exam Scores
· Evaluation of Official High School Transcript
· Official College/University Transcript(s)
· Course-by-course Official Evaluation of College/University Transcript(s)
· Notarized translation is needed if your transcripts/documents are not in English
· TOEFL Score Report if education was in a language other than English (WSU Code: 3524)
· Worcester State University Certification of Finances Form (Parts I-IV) and accompanying documentation
· Waiver of Confidential Information (optional)
PLEASE NOTE: Worcester State University will not issue I-20 paperwork until the full tuition deposit is paid.
