Math Center Co-director
If you are looking for tutoring for a mathematics course or a course with mathematical components, the Math Center is here to help. Operated by the Mathematics Department, the center is staffed with peer tutors who can provide you with a conceptual mathematical understanding that will enable you to succeed in your courses and complete your assignments independently.
Our drop-in services include:
- Tutoring for all Mathematics Department courses from developmental math through Calculus II
- Assistance for certain other courses with mathematical components
- Math placement exam preparation materials and tutoring
The center is available during the fall and spring semesters and begins on the Monday of the first full week of classes. Check the academic calendar for specific dates.
Tutoring
The Math Center offers drop-in tutoring in Sullivan 140 Monday through Thursday. No appointment necessary! Please see the schedule below for times for each course:

Placement Test Materials
Arithmetic Placement Test Review Packet
– The Arithmetic packet will assist in increasing a math placement code from a Code 1 to a Code 2.
Elementary Algebra Placement Test Review Packet
– The Elem. Algebra packet will assist in increasing a math placement code from a Code 2 to a Code 3, 4, or 5.
Functions Placement Test Review Packet
– The Functions packet will assist in increasing a math placement code from a Code 5 to a Code 6.
Precalculus Placement Test Review Packet
– The Precalculus packet will assist in increasing a math placement code from a Code 6 to a Code 7.
