Federal Agencies Identify Programs to Help Worcester Residents

(Worcester, Mass.) -- A dozen Federal Agencies will be represented at Worcester State College on Monday, October 26, 2009 to highlight a wide array of Federal benefits and other programs to help Worcester area community- based organizations assist individuals and families they serve. The event, sponsored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), in partnership with Worcester State College, is being held in the College’s Student Center from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  Representatives from each agency will be available to discuss specific programs for low to moderate income residents and how these programs can help individuals and families, particularly during these challenging economic times.  

 

WHO: Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS),Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Social Security Administration (SSA), Administration on Aging (AOA), Veterans Administration (VA),  Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Small Business Administration (SBA), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
