(Worcester, Mass.) -- Worcester State University will recognize National Nurses Day and the 35th anniversary of the Department of Nursing’s Inaugural Graduating Class with a Nursing Symposium and dedication of the Dr. Lillian R. Goodman Department of Nursing.
Goodman, widely recognized for her visionary leadership in nursing education, was the founder and chair of the WSU Nursing Department from 1973 to 1991. The symposium will be held on Friday, May 6, beginning at 3 p.m. in the Kalyan K. Ghosh Center for Science and Technology. Guest speakers include Stephanie M. Chalupka ’80, EdD, RN, PHCNS-BC, FAAOHN, Cynthia T. French ’80, MS, APRN, BC, and Marianne Matzo ’82, Ph.D., GNP-BC, FPCN, FAAN. A cocktail reception and dinner will follow the dedication. Ellen J.
