WSU to Host Immigration Forum

(Worcester, Mass.) -- Worcester State University will host the forum, “Perspectives on Immigration: Myths and Realities,”  Tuesday,
March 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the Student Center North/South auditorium.  Panelists include:

 
  • Avi Chomsky, Professor of History and Coordinator of Latin American Studies at Salem State and author of "They Take Our Jobs! And Twenty Other Myths About Immigration"
     
  • Sue Schlotterbeck, Director of Cultural and Language Services at the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center
     
  • Sarang Sekhavat from the Massachusetts Immigration and Refugee Advocacy Coalition 
     
The event, sponsored by the Intergenerational Urban Institute, the Center for Human Rights and the Urban Studies Department, is free and open to the public.
