Registration for the brunch is now closed. Join President Maloney as he hosts a brunch for all students and their families. Student athletes and student leaders will be recognized for their achievements. Lancer Loft Cafe (Third Floor, Student Center) $5 each (all proceeds are donated to the WSU Student Emergency Fund)
Noon - 2:30 p.m. Art Gallery Tours
Tour the recently renovated modern art gallery at WSU. Art work by faculty will be on display.
Please meet outside the Student Center for guided tours (Rain location: Inside Student Center). Tours will be conducted every half hour.
12:15 – 2 p.m. "In the Classroom" Sessions
Join faculty and staff in interactive classroom sessions on various topics. Including: The WSU Study Abroad Experience, The Culture of Horror Films, Gourmet Cooking Class, etc.
Various locations across campus. A list of classes and locations will be provided at registration.
Noon - 2 p.m. Explore the City of Worcester
Check out the City of Worcester and all it has to offer on the Colleges of Worcester Consortium bus tour. Bus will depart from and return to the WSU campus. Bus is handicap accessible.
Noon - 4 p.m. Children's Movies
WSU's student run television station, LVTV, will show children's movies throughout the afternoon on their station. A student attendant will be on-hand in the Living Room during the movies. Student Center, Living Room (2nd floor)
1:30 p.m. Football vs. Westfield
2-4:30 p.m. Family Fun Fair
Have some fun at the fair, grab a bite to eat and meet other WSU families. Vendors, food truck and many more activities. Student Center (inside and outside) Rain location: inside the Student Center
3-4:30 p.m. Family Bingo
Bring your entire family to take part in a fun-filled game of bingo. Win lots of prizes and WSU gear. Student Center, Blue Lounge (1st floor)
4-6 p.m. Free BBQ
Leave the cooking to us. All the fixings! Hosted by the Parents and Family Association. One Lancer Place Outdoor Patio (located between Student Center and Learning Resource Center) Rain location: Inside the Student Center.
4:30-7 p.m. Dinner on your own
If you prefer to have dinner with your family off-campus there are numerous options in the area. Check out the Taste Worcester website for restaurants, reviews and specials. A list of area restaurants will also be provided during registration.
6 p.m. Women's Soccer vs. Bridgewater State
7-9 p.m. An Evening with Visual & Performing Arts
End your evening on campus with a theatrical reading of Lynette at 3am and a performance by the Worcester State University Chorale. Shaughnessy Administration Building, Fuller Theater (2nd floor)
The Worcester State University Bookstore will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, September 23
1 p.m. Senior Capping
Senior capping is a long standing tradition at Worcester State University that symbolizes the beginning of the end of a senior's journey to graduation. All seniors are encouraged to attend capping to mark this joyous and memorable occassion. Friends, family members and fellow classmates are welcome to attend. The ceremony will be held in Sullivan Auditorium and a dessert reception will follow in the Student Center.
