The Bridge of Central Massachusetts is proud to solicit nominations for our Safe Homes People of Courage Awards for 2009. These awards will honor and recognize gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender individuals and their allies living and/or working in Central Massachusetts.
The awards will be presented to adults and youth who have demonstrated leadership, commitment and courage, promoting equal rights for all in their professions, schools and the community.
This year’s People of Courage Award recipients will be honored at an Awards Ceremony at Coral Seafood Restaurant on Wednesday, June 10 2009.
We encourage you to nominate outstanding people who have shown a commitment to the Safe Homes mission: To create safe and supportive services for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning (GLBTQ) youth where they feel nurtured and validated in all aspects of their identity.
A panel comprised of Safe Homes Awards Committee members and Safe Homes youth will select an award recipient in each of the six categories. (see the attached form for categories). Selections will not be based on the number of nominations, but rather on the merit of the individual.
Please share these nomination materials with others in your organization and/or company. Thank you for joining us to honor and support local People of Courage! Nominations must be received at The Bridge by the close of business on Friday, April 22, 2009.
Please note: only fully completed forms will be considered.
To nominate an individual or business, please complete this form in its entirety and fax, email or mail to:
