Interfaith Social Services (ISS) is looking for a socially conscience intern for the Spring of 2010. The intern will assist ISS’ Manager of Material Assistance with the day to day operations of one of the South Shore’s largest food pantries, as well as helping to coordinate the 36th Annual South Shore Walk on Sunday April 25th. This is a great opportunity to get some social service and fundraising experience.
Responsibilities include:
o Attend Walk committee meetings (held
o Solicit businesses to sponsor the Walk
o Make follow up phone calls
o Work with event committee members to coordinate the event
o Help assemble get thank you letters after the event
Interfaith Social Services mission is to serve South Shore residents by strengthening family life and offering assistance to anyone in need. The organization was established in 1947, from its inception ISS has assisted persons of all backgrounds and beliefs.
