Online Resources - New England Region
Worcester Colleges: Worcester State is a member of the Colleges of Worcester Consortium. This partnership between public and private institutions in the central Massachusetts region, provides a number of services to students, faculty, and staff at member institutions. These include, among other resources:
- a shuttle bus that circulates between Worcester State, downtown Worcester, and five other member institutions
- cross registration for students
- faculty development events
- a Certificate in College Teaching Program
Faculty Development: The New England Faculty Development Consortium (NEFDC) fosters faculty development in the region through sponsorship of initiatives and conferences. Annual events include both a fall and spring conference.
Assessment: The New England Educational Assessment Network (NEEAN) is a resource for learning about and sharing information regarding assessment trends and strategies. NEEAN sponsors a number of events including workshops, institutes, and conferences.
Accreditation: The accrediting body for Worcester State is the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Information about institutions, accreditation, and standards and policies can be found at their site.
