Major in English
Requirements: 36 credits in English (exclusive of EN 101 and EN 102) which must include the following:
EN 210 Survey of American Literature I or
EN 211 Survey of American Literature II
EN 220 Survey of English Literature I
EN 221 Survey of English Literature II
EN 255 Methods of Literary Studies
EN 360 Shakespeare I
Electives: 21 credits in English (including a minimum of 12 credits in 300 or 400 level literature courses).
Students declaring English as a major must demonstrate a competency in a foreign language at the intermediate level.
