Accuplacer is an assessment that helps students identify their academic strengths and needs so that they can plan an appropriate schedule of course work at Worcester State. Though required by the State of Massachusetts of all accepted students to all of the State Universities, Community Colleges and UMASS system, Accuplacer is not meant to instill fear in any student (so relax!); instead, it gives students information about their skills in writing, reading, and mathematics. It will tell them at what level they need to begin their college studies.
